THE ACT OF PEELING POTATOES

The concept of the publication is to present the complex nature of Joseph Beuys’ (1921 - 1986) opus. The object-box represents a physical work of art by Beuys. It reflects the outside world and represents an infinite number of complex interpretations. The reader can open this untouchable work of art by perforation and reveal what the essence of this work is. By opening the box, the reader becomes an artist. It reveals a wild red interior that represents both the essence of the artwork as well as Beuys’ body and mind. With the included magnifying glass, he examines the contents of Beuys' work even more closely.
