BREEDING AND ADJUSTMENT INSTITUTE

The booklet Breeding And Adjustment Institute is an author's book made in collaboration with the University Botanical Garden in Ljubljana. The world of botany is created under the precise and skilled hand of botanists and gardeners. Their presence could be interpreted by plants as an ominous act. As an act where they are cut, studied and assembled into new species. The world of Aldous Huxley, Brave New World, enters the story of the botanical garden.

The booklet is divided into two parts: Breeding (slo. transl. Razplajanje) and Adjustment (slo. transl. Prilagajanje). The first part consists of excerpts from the novel, accompanied by scenes of fictitious reproduction of a plant - chlorophyll and a male gamete - sperm. In the second part are imaginary hybrids - new creatures - composed of botanical garden plants and animals.
