FOOD 2070

The Food 2070 project examines the effects of the climate crisis that threatens civilization. Degradation of ecosystems, loss of crops due to drought, inadaptability of parts of the world for life, global migration, health consequences. All of this is part of the consequences of man-made climate change. Despite all the information we have and the number of scientists and activists working on it, we often seem to be at a standstill.

The Food 2070 website defines, based on consumer consumption habits, what kind of food a user will eat in 50 years. After completing the questionnaire, the system determines the user's type of person, from the worst — peel-eater, to the best — the winner. In the intermediate range there are 4 more types of people, insect feeders (insectivore), genetically modified foods (genetic changer), laboratory meat and fish (laboratory assistant) and algae (algae).

The answer is indicated in a modified form of a well-known Slovene recipe, a traditional food that presents warmth and homeliness to Slovenes. Ingredients from recipes can be purchased at the online marketplace.
